We ask you to please not step off the path in the wildflower gardens. The Wildflower Garden is the fenced in area. Be sure to bring your own pencil (BYOP), as to make it easier to fit the paper inside. The best reading on your GPS can be found outside the park, as there are many trees towering over the park.
This beautiful park named Austin Gardens is the choice hangout for all ages. From the Shakespearean plays that take place here in the mid summer to the yearning for relaxation as you watch squirrels and birds play, these attractive gardens holding many different unusual species of flowers are an eyeful for anyone who visits here.
In the far South Western corner of the park, in the open space, these gardens once held a small pond which was home to two geese. One night, in the late 70's, someone came to this pond and slaughtered the geese. The shocked community decided to close and fill in the pond.
You are looking for a magnetic key holder, with a log sheet inside, BYOP. This is considered a small cache, where your prize is the satisfaction of finding it and logging in. Even small caches can be challenging even for experienced geocachers. Please be sure to check the cache ratings and decide accordingly.
