Mike-n-Crystal: The model airplane club is no longer posting the rules needed to solve the cache, and I have no time to maintain this or modify it.

Geocache Description:

Located in William H. Kain park in York County, this cache is dedicated to aircraft of a smaller nature: models. You can view more about the club at their website: http://www.modelaircraft.org/

DISCLAIMER: BY SEARCHING FOR ANY OF MY CACHES, YOU ARE ASSUMING ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS. I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IN ANY WAY.

The local chapter of the Academy of Model Aeronautics has a small airfield at the site of the coordinates, where a picnic table sits. The chapter posts the rules of flying at the picnic table, for all their members to see and remember.

This is an offset cache. To find the actual cache, which is a regular sized ammo can, you must first read the rules of flying. The actual coordinates are as follows:

N 39 degrees 52.ABC
W 076 degrees 40.DEE

A = first digit of the height limit in rule 5 multiplied by 2

B = the last digit of the height limit in rule 5

C = number of miles in rule 5 multiplied by 3

D = the age specified in rule 11 plus 3

EE = the weight in rule 2 minus 1

This is a themed caches, please try to stick to things related to flying. The cache is starting off with a good many plane toys, a deck of Aviator brand playing cards, some parachute men, and some North Carolina quarters.

The parking for the first part is non-traditional, and depends upon if there are pilots at the field, but is usually available. From there, you can either hike (somewhat) straight to the final part, or you can drive to a nearby parking spot on the "main" road and take the trail. This is why I marked the cache as no parking available. Coming from the bottom of the trail significantly increases the amount you have to hike, at least from a vertical perspective.

Enjoy!
