Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Six Mile Creek wildflower area. It involves some steep climbing but great wildlife viewing opportunities.

This cache is hidden in the Six Mile Creek – Mulholland Wildflower area. This is a wonderful location to go to hear birds, view wildflowers, see wildlife, have a picnic, go for a jog, walk your dog, enjoy a swim at the dam, or go geocaching! This cache would be difficult for young children….however, your pets (especially your dogs) will find lots of other playmates. To get to this cache take Route 79 out of Ithaca to the east. About a mile out of town at a light turn right on Giles Street (it is named Cornell Street on the other side of Rt 79). About a mile after the turn you will see a sign for Mulholland on your left just before the Van Natta Dam. There is a parking area at the bottom of the hill. Most of the walk to find this cache will be on a trail but the last bit will involve a steep climb. You will see some great waterfalls including one right by the cache. We hid this cache in a medium sized but shallow Tupperware container. To ensure that we don't cause erosion, please find this cache on a sunny, dry day. Happy geocaching!
