* (seasons permitting). A short cache at top of Naish Hill,
WIltshire.
Adjacent to the main road that links Sandy Lane with Bowden Hill
and Lacock there is a paradise for Bluebell enthusiasts. However,
at other times of the year, the Naish Hill end of this Woodland has
its own occupants. The inner fenced area of the land is owned by
Wessex Water to house the 'Sandy Lane' reservoir - a more modern
exchange to the hill fort of days gone by where it was possible to
see out over the Mendips and the Cotswolds for miles. Surrounding
the reservoir is a planted pine forest to enable it to blend in to
its surroundings. Some of these pine trees are swathed in wild
Honeysuckle and bracken is in abundance. It is possible to get
quite near to the cache site by car.The difficulty of the cache is
set higher due to tree cover and also due to underlying brambles in
some places. You are looking for an ammo box. Please could you
re-hide it thoroughly as this location seems to be a popular
retreat.Nearest pubs are at Sandy Lane and dotted down Bowden Hill
and into Lacock village.
