Bears in the Woods Traditional Cache
Sky Dancer & Honi Bear: This cache was burned up in a recent fire and we just can't find the time to replace it anytime soon, so we are archiving it. [xx(] This was Honi Bear's signature cache and she's really bummed out about it. [:(]

Located in Eagle Point Nature Preserve at High Rock Lake in Rowan County. There is a small gravel parking area not far from the main entrance of the preserve. The cache is close to a trail, but parts of the trail could get muddy and in some sections are more like footpaths. The round trip is close to 1 mile. At time of placing cache, the sign at front entrance still showed Winter Hours from 9:30-4:30.
Cache is in an ammo box. This is a themed cache full of different sized little bears & bear related items specially picked by Honi Bear. Please take only 1 item per cacher and if possible, bring a bear like item to trade. The Nature Preserve is in cooperation with the NC Land Trust and even has a canoe access. There was a Port-o-John at the parking lot at time of placement. There are several miles of different trails. The park has recently opened and appears to get limited visitors at this time. There are guided Trail Walks the 3rd Saturday of each month (March-Sept) starting at 10:30. Please be discreet when retrieving the cache.
