Geocache Description:

Another peaceful walk along a former railway line. What was there before is becoming something new.

If you were wondering about the name, I used to live not far from here. I went to school at the very place above you and would spend hours and hours exploring down here. If I went missing, my Mum would always be able to find me hiding under the bridge in amongst the undergrowth.

Part of the ongoing series of "Lost Railways of East Anglia" caches. Some are Traditional, Some Micro and the odd virtual.

East Anglia was once a hive of railway activity, trains packed with holiday makers swarming to the coast and the Broads rattled through the countryside, calling at small market towns and hamlets. Now, thanks to Doctor Beeching there are very few, yet their legacy and memory remain.

Many years ago between the railway going and what is now, nature took over. A Wonderful jungle for kids, many happy hours were spent here.
Now it is Becoming the Great Eastern Linear Park, a walk or a cycle ride straight through the middle of the town. When they finish it (soon), it will be wonderful.
