Cache is a small altoids container covered in cammo tape. Bring
your own pen or pencil to log this cache, as there is no room for
one in the cache container. Nice level area in a city park, no
bushwacking required.
This cache is placed on the site where the first building in Mt.
Zion was built. The building was originally located on the Paris to
Springfield Road, now known as the Lincoln Heritage Trail. This
building served as an inn for travelers during the 1800's. Please
be discrete as this is a highly visible hiding spot. This is the
smallest park in Mt. Zion and only has room for swings and a few
benches. The park has had some recent renovations and we thought
they should be shown off. Also located in this park is Mt. Zion's
time capsule scheduled to be opened in 2050.
