Bring swimsuit and picnic for an easy cache.
The entry to this area is locked up during some of the winter months, but it is a lovely area so even if it is locked up, you'll have a nice trip.
There is a boat launch and a nice swimming area and some picnic tables. The lake is a great place to fish, ski, sail or yak.
From reading the logs I see that the park has now imposed a $3.00 entry fee. Some people have evaded the fee by either walking in or by pleading with the gate attendant stating that they just want to look the place over...a short visit. I'm enhancing the clue to keep visits short.
