A nice afternoon out on Chapel Down, island of St Martin's, in the Isles of Scilly
ATTENTION: Several people have reported (August 2020) that the logbook in the cache is very wet. As we are not likely to visit the Scillies before late 2021, would some kind person please insert a new logbook? Probably it should be in a plastic bag for extra dryness. Thanks, and please let us know so that we can remove this message. Now, on with the description... This cache is the Sather Family's first geocache. The cache is on the beautiful island of St Martin's, in the Isles of Scilly, off Cornwall. I promise you a wonderful view of the rocky headland and the sea, including the Eastern Isles. The cache is in a large round tupperware-type box that orginally housed jellied eels. We included some childrens' toy balloon rockets, some other toys, a turtle made of shells, and a disposable camera. In 2005 we revisited the cache, recovered the camera, and developed the shots that visitors took. You can see them below.
