Geocache Description:

Another Gary Numan cache, The Joy Circuit is a track off the 1980 no.1 album Telekon.

The co-ords above take you to the parking area and the start of this cache which is All Saints Church in St Pauls Walden. It is a circular walk of about two miles on fairly level ground. In the winter it could get muddy.

According to legend, the people attempted to build their church in a field near the present St Pauls Walden Bury house, but each night the Devil moved the stones to the opposite hill where the church now stands!

Please stick to all footpaths and if you have dogs or children with you, make sure you keep them on leads as there is a small amount of road walking and a few electric fences along the way!

The cache is at N51* 53 ABC W000* 16.DEF. When we placed this cache we had an accuracy of 25ft.

Go into the churchyard and find the tallest monument. Ellen Margaret Valentine died on Dec ? 1942. ?=E. Once you have this answer leave the church the way you came in and proceed along the footpath straight in front of you until you come to a house at,
N51* 52.913 W000* 16.241. How many flower shaped windows are there? this will give you the answer to A.

Continue along this footpath and up the road for a short way until you come to a bend where you need to go through the kissing gate. While at this gate count the arrows on the post, the number of arrows minus 2 will give you answer D.

Follow this footpath but watch out for the electric fence, it wasn't on when we placed this cache but you can't be too careful!

Go through another kissing gate and follow the yellow arrow. A bit further on if you look to the left, you may be lucky enough to see some rare pigs from the local open farm.

Just past the pigs, take the path on the right and go through another kissing gate, how many diagonal slats are there on this gate? This will give you answer C.

Go to N51*52.784 W000* 16.824, look to the left to see a plaque on a tree. How many letters are in this girls name+1 gives you the answer for F. Carry on this path and go through yet another kissing gate and continue along the path. If you look to the right you will see a figure at the corner of the field, no significance to this, it's just something to look out for.

Go through another kissing gate and continue straight on, keeping to the edge of the field.Go through the kissing gate(last one!) into the woods and follow the path for some way until you come to a telegraph pole at N51* 53.212 W000* 16.651.

Take the number from this sequence on the pole ?PA, ?=B. Now you have all the numbers you need to find the cache, go back to the footpath you were on and stick to it-there is no need to leave the path to find the cache.

Once you have hopefully found the cache, plug in the starting co-ords to take you back to your car.

Hope you en"joy"ed it!
