Running around on Three Sisters Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

niskibum: There has been a lot of logging and road changes in the area, and the sign the second waypoint was on has been removed. Not sure if I'll be able to get around to fixing it this year, so I'm archiving it. I might replace it in the future if the trail system survives.

Geocache Description:

Get your dirt bike and head out to visit the Three Sisters! This is a motorcycle multi-cache that follows trail 230 across the Three Sisters and over to Cape Horn above Bayview. The trail is a challenging one (for me anyway) and is a lot of fun with lots of ups and downs, tight corners, some brushy areas, rocks, and some spots where you can cut her loose. There are spots where you can bail out and hit some fire roads to avoid the tough spots, but what fun would that be? The trail is 7 miles in length, but you will have to go farther than that, with the final requiring a little backtracking and down a fire road to a nice view of the lake. You will have a short hike at the final, but nothing too tough, and the view will be worth it.
I have designed the waypoints to make it possible to finish the cache without a motorcycle by either atv, walking, or mountainbiking, with a little driving to the second waypoint.
The cache is intended for a motorcycle cache, but everyone is welcome, because bums don't discriminate! Horses and hikers also use the trail, so be careful and considerate. If you run into horses pull off to the side and shut off your engine till they pass. Be especially carefull the weekend of June 27/27, as the Selkirk valley back country horsemen will be riding these trails.
I managed to stay on the trail and not bail out on my trip to plant the cache, but if you can ride this trail without putting a single foot down you get extra special credit.
Take a picture at the final overview of you and the machine that got you there. You will be looking for a gold, round metal tag with the coords for the next waypoint.
To get to the trail head go North on 95, just before Cocollala lake take Blacktail road, follow it to Little Blacktail, and go right till you see the trailhead.
