Geocache Description:

Little Trout Creek Hide and Seek Cache is a regular sized 5.56mm ammo can with a custom camo paint job.

This cache is located on the Eglin AFB reservation. Hunters and or wild life may be in this area as could be military personal conducting maneuvers and possible unexploded ordinance could be in the area. I saw bear and deer tracks in the area of the cache and also saw a gator enroute!!!
A permit granting you legal access to the Eglin AFB Reservation is required to seek and find ANY cahce on Eglin AFB Reservation!!! You must have this permit and it must be in your possesion. The Jackson Guard will check. For $10 you get an outstanding map and a year-long Recreational Permit. You can get your permit from the "Jackson Guard" either in person or by mail (send a copy of your driver's license). Address: Eglin Natural Resources Branch107 Hwy 85 North, Niceville, FL 32578Phone: (850)882-4164Coords: N 30° 31.49' W 86° 29.57'Hrs: Mon-Thu 0700-1630, Fri 0700-1800, Sat 0730-1200, Closed Sunday.
This cache was started as an entrance fee to the Northwest Florida Geocaching Dinner Event #2 on 25 JUN 04. This event was orginized by "Pirate Treasure Hunter." He wanted everyone who attend to bring a new cache so that those cacher’s who came would have a chance at a FTF. So this is my contirbution for that event as well as a thank you for all the other local cachers who have allowed me to look over over NW Florida for their caches. Thanks. I am starting this cache with 3 old (used) cache sheets from caches I have found, It may allow another cacher to grab these sheets and move along to find another nearby...(ha ha) cache.
There are two close caches to this one...define close??? There is more than one way to get to this cache either of of HWY 20 in Seminole or via Range Rd, from Blue Water Bay. Good luck have fun, enjoy the sand!!! I used my mountain bike to emplace this cache and was an easy ride but the sand is deep in spots and I did have to ford a shallow water crossing but this is not necessary!!! If you have time bring a trash bag this is once again a great spot for a Eglin CITO event. Happy Caching.
