Take Green Bank Road from Rt 28 to Buffalo Mountain Road (left on gravel road in middle of S-curve at N 38 28.387 W 079 47.178), pass the tree in the middle of the road. Go to Forest Road 1606, Forest Service road sign between stop sign and Forest Service gate. Park near the gate and hike FR 1606. Plan your visit after a rainfall to enjoy the babbling waterfalls and interesting underground streams that join two creeks. Good hiking boots and a walking stick recommended because of mossy rocks.
Thanks to Hurricane Ernesto, there are four trees down next to the cache. Access is best to the right around the downed trees. Cache is our standard green PVC cylinder with red cap. Recent Contents: Log Book with Pencil & Pencil Sharpener, Travel Bug #507704, mini ping pong, jewelry, beach ball, small car, rubber ball, bungee cord, toy animals, misc. toys
