Geocache Description:

Hope you enjoy the climb, er scramble, er I mean find.

WARNING:

This is not an easy cache.

(he he he)

This cache may take you a couple of hours to complete.

To the faint of heat beware there may be things to climb, crawl on, crawl over or just things that may get in your way. There also may be things that may be crawling around.  Don't mind the the bones laying around they didn't have a gps to find there way out. :)

This cache is hidden on the top of Bearden knob (actually near it). Please start at the parking area just off of Rt. 32 at this location: N 39.06.671 W 079.26.747 there is a graveled parking area here. The trails are being marked (weather permitting). The trail starts facing away from the road to your left tward the trees. At one point on this hike I ask that you do not pass the yellow markers or double blue striped markers this area is local private property.

I have permission for placing this cache from the property manager at Canaan Valley Institute. Any questions feel free to email me. Also you may want to bring your camera and plenty of water...(the only running water here are two little creeks that run most of the time if it has been raining lately and the other is a old beaver pond that is shown on the topo, but is all dried up. If plan on using either of the creeks I'd bring a water filter, just to be safe).

Please use your best judgment when hiking where there is no trail. A flashlight might be a bright idea on this one to help. Who knows what is learking in them there hills. :) One last Thought Bring a cell phone incase you get lost...It's a jungle out there.

It will be use for environment impact and future reference to making an actual trail in the area. Since this trail actually ends there is some game trails to follow and there are some place there is no trail.

Attention:

If you plan on attacking this cache, could you log and record your track that you take. Then if you think about it can you download that track and send it to me?  I can only accept logs from Garmin gps's. I don't have anyother gps's to figure out how to figure it out.  (unless you know how to convert it for me :) )

Items that may help you in this adventure: A Camera, Binoculars, Water, A snack, a cell phone and extra batteries.  (Please no machetes for the bushwhacking, it is possible to make it through with out one.)

Even if you don't find the cache you may enjoy the view.
