Geocache Description:

A small, odd-sized cache located at Mead Ponds. Terrain rated 1.5 only because it can be slick when wet or muddy, and there's a bit of a hill.

The Mead Ponds, just west of the Town of Mead, have recently been improved for public use. This dog-friendly (on a lease, please) grouping of ponds is open for fishing and playing. We saw a number of recently hatched bass swimming around when we were placing the cache. Bring your pole and give it a try- a perfect place to bring the family and to teach your daughters how to put the worm on thier own hooks!

If you time it right, there is a Farmer's Market on Friday nights during the summer months. It is held in the park (also dog-friendly) 4 - 8:00 p.m. in downtown Mead and there's a real good chance that there will be live music. Plan on an evening out finding a cache, a picnic in the park, and fresh vegetables! Make Mom Proud and Eat Your Veggies!!!
