Geocache Description:

It's an easy walk along the edge of Ross Prairie on the Ross Prairie Loop Trail out to this cache, which you'll find at a spot that gives you cause to wonder...

Ross Prairie is an open grassland spreading out like a spiderweb from where SR 200 crosses it (just south of SR 484). Wildflowers bloom in abundance; in the wet season, you'll see pickerelweed poking out of the water holes. The new Ross Prairie Loop of the Florida Trail starts and ends at the Ross Prairie Trailhead along the fenceline behind the restrooms [NOT to be confused with the Ross Prairie State Forest Hiking Trail which starts nearby]. Follow the blue blazes along the prairie's edge to the cache. This is an easy cache for families but the box is SMALL. Do not leave any large objects or any scented objects, as animals will be attracted to tearing open the cache if you do.In addition to the logbook, initial contents include a tourmaline in feldspar, a blue plastic bear, some dinosaurs, a dolphin keychain, and a travel bug, Archie Too, who is on his way to Arches National Park. Please help him along!
