Sgt Stitches: Unfortunately, this location has deteriorated over the years. Since this area seems to have become a semi-permanent camping area for the homeless and people who do not care about leaving trash all over the place, I am going to remove the cache and archive this listing. Too bad, the trestle here used to be one of my favorite spots while hiking from Felton to Santa Cruz. :(

Geocache Description:

Cpl Coconut's first Cache! Under the redwoods off Hwy 9, so reception is spotty.

This is the first cache prepared and placed by Cpl Coconut (age 9) of the Cruz Commandos (with help from Sgt Stitches).

Parking is easiest if you are traveling North on Hwy 9. You can park nearby at N 37 00.446 W 122 02.700 and then cross the road...carefully!!

The cache is an ammo can with some toys, Cpl Coconut's "Franken Foot" Travel Bug, a whole family of signature item army men, and a FTF prize of a Geocaching.com car window cling.

The satellite coverage is not so good, but if you take the high trail, you can get better satellite coverage... we did.

SAFETY NOTE: Nearby RR tracks ARE active. The cache is NOT on the RR tracks.... even though your GPS might lead you there.
