Bulmore Park is just across the street from the Hacienda
entrance to Almaden Quicksilver Park. Look for the large historic
marker with plaques on two sides.
Hacienda Creek runs through the park, which is sandwiched
between two bridges. On the other side of the creek from the park
is a historic marker for the old Vichy Water springs. Across the
street from that on one side is the historic St. Anthony's church,
which was built largely with mining company funds. On the other
side is a nice French restaurant which is housed in another
historic building.
There are many more historic buildings and markers nearby. All
of these are briefly described in a free walking tour booklet that
you can pick up from the
mining museum which is just up the street at the same spot as
the This
Ore That cache. There is also the new memorial to Pat Tillman
here.
Signal reception could be tricky here due to overhead cover and
other terrain considerations. It's not under or particularly close
to either bridge though. Don't be shy about using the hint if
you're having signal problems.
The cache is a camo decon container. Please re-hide it well, and
don't forget to take a few minutes to relax and enjoy the babbling
stream. :)
