Geocache Description:

Great fishing, great place for our game, great wild game in the area, too. . .we saw at least ten deer, at least one hundred quail, a wild turkey and enough puffballs to feed the elusive basselope very happily for weeks. (Keep your eyes open--Brat #1 thinks he's close![:D])

This place feels almost like the edge of the world, where water meets sky and everything else fades away. Bring your picnic, your fishing tackle, your camera and your GPS. Read and believe the signs in the area, and enjoy yourself at one of our favorite spots. (Bring the DEET, too, and don't try to flip-flop this one--some stickers and elevation changes on a grassy dirt trail.) The access road is bumpy, but can be driven by most passenger cars, and is always open to travel, but not winter-maintained, and may be inaccessible in very wet or snowy conditions. As a bonus, on hot days, you can sit and cool your caboose (like our kids did) as you trade cache goods and sign the log out of the sight of most of the visiting muggles. At the right time of year, you can fill up the berry buckets, too! (But watch your feet--we did see two nonpoisonous snakes on the way back to the Geep, and one was in the water!)
