This is a multi-cache where you have to calculate coordinates to find the final destination cache. Be sure to bring a pencil and paper to do your calculations. Container is a micro, well suited for this location. There is room for small trade items, but travel bugs will not fit. Cache has a logbook, pencil, and a small measuring tape.
This cache is dedicated to the facility in which it resides. The first building was erected on an eight-acre site and began operation on October 12, 1773. It provided treatment during the turbulent crises of both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. It was moved to it’s current location was completed in 1970. The first stage of this cache was donated by caring individuals and dedicated in 2002. It is a very interesting site; our 11-year-old daughter loved it and coined the cache name at this location. Take your time to walk along the pathway and clear your mind. A Boy Scout in a local troop originally made the second stage. In 2002, another local Boy Scout renovated it as his Eagle project. Unfortunately, Hurricane Isabel caused much damage to this area so the cache is not located far off the pavement.
