Hazelnut Grove Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Moun10Bike: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This Cache is in a public park in the heart of Surrey.

This cache was replaced on July 31st, 2004. Please note the new co-ordinates. Co-ordinates updated on August 2nd 2004. Thanks GeoDug!

The cache is a 500ml cammo Lock & Lock. It is well stocked and originally contains: Body jewelry, heart shaped key chain, hair clips and ties, mini tape dispenser, bumble-bee notebook, iron-on art (happy faces), pencil sharpener, and hologram stickers.

This very short trek involves a few minute walk through a nice park in the heart of Newton, a neighbourhood in Surrey. It is located in the Hazelnut Grove Park (the park contains covered picnic tables, a basketball court, indoor washrooms, and a nice forest with paths in the rear). A great place to go for a picnic or BBQ on the weekend!

The best location for parking is:
N 49° 07.641 W 122° 50.037
(you will see washrooms, tables and basketball court)

The cache is not hidden on one of the "primary" trails. Overall your best bet is to park at the suggested parking location (above). Also, please ensure that you re-hide the cache very well (the specific area looks to be frequented by teen muggles).

The coordinates I took with my GPSr may not exactly reflect the cache location since my GPSr is not "top of the line" and there are trees all around the cache. If you find the coordinates off by a great distance please drop me a line or post it in your log entry and I will adjust accordingly.

The cache is 10m off of a main trail
