Can be a steep hike, depends on where you start from. Be careful of the roads that you take if you have a low clearance vehicle. The road is not maintained. If cacher is not willing to risk the drive up, you can park to the right once across the cattlegaurd. Watch for poison ivy and holes in the ground where gophers or larger animals may have dug.
During wet conditions it is not recommended taking a small vehicle and sometimes even a four-wheel drive up the road to the reservior. The mud here can be terrible in the winter or during very wet spring months. So be careful if the road appears wet. Mud is also very sticky and has been said to last years stuck to your vehicle. This area has been the playground for all ranch kids growing up in the immidiate area since it's completion in 1941. Not recommended to attempt this during the winter months due to highly drifting snow.The Cache in a 10" round by 4.5" tall tin. Located inside is a rubbermaid box containing the Cache.First Cache finder will find a Jeep Travel Bug.
