A hunt for the Texas Wildman,
Good Parking at Lat 29.596383 Long -95.254527
Watch out for snakes!
Verybigstick and some friends came across information that the Texas Wildman was seen by boy scouts in this southern Harris county swampland. After much searching and the sun setting, a command post was set up at the listed coordinates and observation well into the early evening was conducted. Verybigstick stayed under the comfort of the covered command post as his friends headed out into the foggy swamp with nothing more than flashlights, cameras, and signal flares. At about 2100, a horrible scream was heard southwest of the command post and a flare shot straight up 200 meters. Verybigstick tried to get out his GPSr to get a heading on the flare but could not figure out all of those buttons at night, so he just got old school on it and pulled out a compass. He sighted the location of the flare at a heading of 237° and 37° elevation from the horizontal. Verybigstick and his friends all converged on some dry land at the south end of the swamp. Someone saw a large snake and panicked shooting up the flare. The mission was scrubbed but the team left a cache at that location. Someday, the Wildman will be found.
