Easy first time hidding cache.
This is our first cache and with my years of flying we wanted it near our airport. The first stage is the size of your palm of your hand. The second/final stage is the size of an ammo box and is away from the airport. At NO time do you need to be in the airport secure area. REMAIN on the public side of all fences. The road where the first stage is at had to be cut in 2 in 1963 so the runway can be extended about 3,000 feet for bigger jets. Until a couple of years ago DLH had the longest runway in the state @ 10,152 feet. Now Msp has the longest. Also note that DLH is the 55th emergency landing site for the Space Shuttle. ( like if 2-54 would all have bad wx at the same time)The location of the ammo box is near an old railroad bed that in the 1900's brought wood from up north back to Duluth. This is on OUR property and permission is granted for cache retrival.
