And reported back to me. 7/13/04-- I Met with Mr Blackmer today and there are only 2 things: 1. There will be no alcohol allowed in the Nature Center. Sorry. I tried. 2. In this area lives an endangered species that is ONLY native to Minnesota. The Minnesota Dwarf Trout Lily is a forest wildflower found in Rice and Goodhue Counties, Minnesota. Because it is known only from this small area the dwarf trout lily is considered a Minnesota "endemic" - i.e. a species that grows in Minnesota and nowhere else on earth. They are very serious about this. We are to avoid the TROUT LILLY TRAIL. Along the trail is fine. But not more than 50 ft off the trail. See you there! Shane (TwentySeven)
