Geocache Description:

Established but rocky trailhead with some steep spots and an elevation change of 247 feet over .28 miles

This is a regular cache in a Rubbermaid container with a blue lid. Original contents: "The Binky" travel bug, bungee cords, a carbiner compass, 25 foot tape measure, small pliers, an agate necklace, a bath pig, erasers and pencil grips, a toy giraffe and bug. Park at N 46 50.947 W 111 44.231, the start of the trailhead. Satellite reception is variable here so make sure to read the written clues as well. This rocky trail with occasional steep spots, is suitable for both humans and horses, so watch your feet and be discrete caching if people are about. The cache is .28 miles up the trail. After passing through the "icebox" part of the the canyon trail ( the huge boulders on each side of the stream bed - which may be dry or not) and noticing the decided drop in temperature, proceed approximately 350 feet up the trail to a huge moss-covered reddish half a tree trunk on the right side of the path. The top half of the tree broke off and is lying across the stream bed. The standing tree has several large boulders at its base. Take 8-9 medium man-sized paces up the trail from these and look left to the buried treasure in the hill.
