This cache was hidden in a very special spot for me. The China Flat Campground should be the first thing you'll find. My dad started camping there 50 years ago. :-)
Start out by parking in the campground's parking lot. Do this by driving a little past the campground's main entrance. Next, cross the bridge. The rest is up to you.
The coordinates given are an average of 8 sets of coordinates... 4 from a Garmen & 4 from a Magellan. If you would like a list of the other coordinates, or if you come up with a hugely different set of coordinates when you visit the cache, please contact Digibug at digibug5@yahoo.com.
Sights: You may come across the Harvey West Cabin. It is a "heritage site." It was built in the early 1930s by the Sacramento Box & Lumber Company, it was later purchased by Harvey West. And according to what I've been told, it has also been used by rangers & boy scouts.
You may also come across a road that has now become a hardly visible path in some spots. This road was used by the lumber company & has been abandoned except for the occasional hiker, hunter, mountain biker, & wild animal.
Possible Dangers: There may be poison oak, rattle snakes, mountain lions, bears, & other wild animals in the area. Please be sure to watch where you step!
