Park at N45° 36.704 / W089° 38.408. Across from the parking
coordinates there is a cable that spans the trail you will need to
take. The cable is there to prevent vehicles from accessing it
during the summer. Proceed to launch your canoe from N45° 36.744 /
W089° 38.304. Then take your canoe to the first waypoint, N45°
36.752 / W089° 38.192. To avoid the “No Trespassing” signs on the
island, land your canoe as close to the first waypoint as possible.
There are many trails that should lead to your destinations. The
caches are all hidden on private property with permission from the
land owners. While caches may be near neighboring properties, if
you stay in the forested area and on the trails, you will not cross
the property lines. Do not bushwack into marshy areas as they tend
to sink very deep. We have found GPS accuracy to be nearly on for
some caches and 30-45 ft off on others depending on the forest
cover.
Please do your best to re-seal the containers and place them in
the same spot.
The cache containers are a variety of micros with some a bit
larger. The final is a large ammo box originally containing: Jeep
4x4 # 3944 TB, Travelling Tigger TB, squirt gun, Sega Dreamcast
magnets, 4 new AA batteries, 2 toy dinosaurs, calculator, Batman
ruler, light-up key chain, stuffed toy dog, Twister tornado tube,
deck of cards, Forgotten Realms Starless Night novel, water
balloons, crayons, Wolverine antenna topper, and plastic Lumiere
toy. Please sign the log to record your adventure. There is a first
finders “award” in the cache. This is our first non-virtual cache
placed. We hope you enjoy it!
We would also like to request that hints, spoilers or any other
type of information regarding the number of, type of contain or
location of the cache be excluded from any logs in regards to this
cache. We would like to keep that information a mystery for those
who hunt the cache. Thanks!
