Geocache Description:

A pleasant shaded stroll along the canal.

Suggested parking for the cache can be found at N52 43.534 W001 47.284. Beware ! Park on the pub (White Swan, or Mucky Duck to the locals) car park at your peril - they claim to clamp non-patrons, or charge £5 per hour.The cache is sited near the meeting point of two canals, the Trent & Mersey and the Coventry Canal. It was originally built by Brindley in 1762 to transport coal from the Warwick coalfields north to Liverpool (you can reach Runcorn from here by narrow-boat.The cache is in a translucent 1.5 litre tupperware box.
