Geocache Description:

7/2006 Update: should be north of path, but someone may have moved it south of the path. A travel bug hotel … designed to be a quick trip, to foster frequent travel bug exchanges, yet with a design that I hope allows it to go unnoticed by geomugglers. No bushwhacking. One steep area along dirt path approach.

Winter Rating: Not recommended when more than 3 inches of snow cover, or freezing ice.

This is a “Travel Bug Hotel” … I hope that you will visit it to EXCHANGE travel bugs, I’d like to keep at least 3 travel bugs in it. Visit often if you wish to trade your TBs. There are also some non-TB items for “basic trading” in this cache.

This cache is in a very beautiful area, yet is only a 4 minute drive from I-43 and a 5 to10 minute walk from your car. From I-43 exit 100 on the north end of Port Washington, head south to Monroe Street (N43 24.159 W087 52.259), take Monroe to recommended parking at N43 24.145 W087 51.958 … No bushwhacking required for this one … Take the paved bike trail to the dirt path closest to the coordinates, the dirt path takes you into a very cool area with trees bridging the path overhead, the cache is hidden in a spot only about 15 feet off the path. You are looking for a unique container designed to blend into the surrounds, about 10” long x 8” in diameter.

I encourage you to explore this part of “Lake Park” further; a few yards east is a large gravel bed area with the creek running through. Consider crossing the creek here and exploring the other side of it. Near the creek in this area is a very interesting old tree, which almost seems petrified; at first glance I thought it was a concrete pole.
