Dog Paddle Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

kokopeli: We were afraid of this. A bit further away might be muggle resistant, but would lose the swimming hole, which is the reason to stop. Thanks to all who enjoyed, but we'll archive this puppy.

Geocache Description:

Snoopy!! Drive to Burney and you can't miss him. Did you know he guards a great swimming hole? This is a fine spot May through September, shady in the evenings and seldom busy.

From Redding watch for Snoopy, and park immediately to the east in a two car pullout. If it is taken the cache is also available just to the west, but you'll miss seeing the swim hole. Harder to see from the Burney side, and if traffic is bad we'll go to the next pullout and make a u-turn.You are looking for an ammo can, and no poison oak was harmed in its placing. We filled it full of dog and water toys, and a FTF hat pin, so take some and break them in nearby. See the Desert(B)Rats' log. There are lots of natural materials nearby to cover your tracks. We sprinkled handfuls of leaves when we left last time. Make it look somewhat natural and I don't think our CITO necesitating brethren will notice a thing.
