Ellis Island Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Outrageous Fortunes: Sorry to be so late in archiving this. I thought I did it last fall. The cache is gone, but the Statue of Liberty is still there and it's still a pleasant walk along the river.

Geocache Description:

This is the third of a series of caches we placed along the Brookside Trail. Best access and parking at 37*58.545 121*22.340. Turnstile does not allow bikes or wheelchairs and is locked at sunset. Plan your trip accordingly or you will be climbing out. Please respect people's property and privacy and stay on the lower river side trail. There is additional access (but no parking) at 37*58.501 121*20.858.

Did we take a wrong turn? Isn't that Ellis Island across the river? No, it's Riviera Cliffs, a beautiful older neighborhood accessible at the end of Country Club Boulevard, just past the Stockton Golf and Country Club.
