This cache is the definition of, "The language of location." Located on Black Point, near Lee Vining. If you can't stand tight places, this cache is NOT for you. Easiest access is a 4WD ONLY road, or you are in for a punishing hike over loose pumice. Stop by the Mono Lake Visitors center for more information. The title of this cache will suggest what you will be looking for on your quest.
DO NOT give the exact hiding spot away in your logs or pictures, but do take pictures "inside." The cache will be easier for a team to find given the unique terrain and the difficulty getting signal where the cache is actually hidden. I checked the coords and got less than a 10 foot error and no more than 13 feet. The cache is a cylinder about 8 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide, and covered in camo tape. It is well hidden in one of the most interesting and little known (due to accessibility) features of the Mono Lake basin. YOUR PICTURES WILL BE AWESOME. Don't forget the camera and please post some shots here. Winter shots would be most spectacular.
Black Point is the tall outcrop of rock nearby. Don't pass on the reward of climbing it. Heck, you're really close. Be careful of other cracks on your hike. Some may be as deep as 100 feet or more.
After a few finds on this cache, I'll post my own pictures.
Lastly, if the second part of the title reminded you to pull your pants up, you might be a redneck.
