Woodpecker Trail Trials
The "Trials" in this search is finding the entrance way to the Woodpecker Trail.The trick, once again as in "High Winds" is to find the entrance way to the Squamish Training Dyke. Just follow the small green signs to the "Windsurfing Spit"
This Trail was built over an old logging trail and you will be able to see some remnant logging equipment along the way. With funding from Forest Renewal BC, this trail was built in 1998 and provides a lovely loop trail through the Central Estuary. Original contents of cache:- Canada badge - dinosaurs - Dr. McCoy- several really cool stones- allen key - tropical fish thingy- three (3) silver dollars (please just take one and leave the rest for other geocachers!!Good luck and enjoy the trail. Keep an eye open for stinging nettle and devils club.
And, yes, if you're searching in the summer months you may wish to have bug repellent on you! A small container of "Off" is at the site. Please use what you need but leave the container for future Geocachers.
