Geocache Description:

Hommage to Fallout 2, the best RPG computer game ever.

My life fades. The vision dims. All that remains are memories. I remember a time of chaos. Ruined dreams. This wasted land. But most of all, I remember the Fallout Cache. To understand that cache, you have to go back to another time. When the world was powered by the black fuel. And the desert sprouted great cities of pipe and steel. Gone now, swept away. For reasons long forgotten, two mighty warrior tribes went to war and touched off a blaze which engulfed them all. The end of the world occured pretty much as we had predicted. Too many humans, not enough space or resource to go around. The details are trivial and pointless... the reasons, as always, purely human ones. The Earth was nearly wiped clean of life. A great cleansing, an atomic spark struck by human hand, quickly raged out of control. Spears of nuclear fire rained from the skies. Continents were swallowed in flames. Humanity was almost extinguished, becoming part of the background radiation that blanketed the Earth. A quiet darkness fell across the planet, lasting many years. Few survived the devastation. Some had been fortunate enough to reach safety, taking shelter in great underground Vaults, mostly built by Vault-Tec Corp. They have hidden some of their current technology in caches around those vaults. In post-nuclear world, desperate for any remaining technology, those caches became target of so called cache scavangers... It is up to you, Chosen One, to wander out into the Wasteland and find that cache...

To locate this cache you will have to find the first cache just to find out the coordinates of the Vault, the deserted derelict nuclear shelter, high in the mountains. Somewhere inside that Vault, there are still the coded coordinates of the last cache. And hopefully the code too... Be prepred for mountain terrain and weather, and worst of all: decending into abandoned nuclear shelter, walking through dark corridors and derelict plant rooms searching for the coded cache coordinates and decyphering key. Don't go unprepared, Chosen One, take mountain hiking gear and above all, several torch lights. Bring at least one torchlight per person. Bring the pen and paper as well. The Vault can be reached by 4x4 vehicle or MTB. This cache is not suitable for small children.

The initial content of the cache is several post-nuclear-looking can openers and some tools, highly prized items in the post-apocalyptic world. This is the post-nuclear theme cache so bring something that you would find usefull in post-nuclear wasteland.
