There are 4 different series in this set of 30 caches. These caches are accessible by either paddling to them or driving to them. You chose your mode of transportation.

River & Paddling Information
This gentle flowing river is perfect for novice paddlers. Carved through a pre-glacial valley, this route offers panoramic views of the Niagara Escapment and the surrounding countryside. Along the way the river valley provides excellent habitat for green heron, great horned owl, white tailed-deer and beaver.
Note: Paddling downstream of Slabtown is NOT recommended.
Historical Reflections
Named by the Huron First Nations people for the numerous beaver found along it’s banks, the Beaver River indents the Niagara Escarpment for a distance of 40km (24.8 miles) from Georgian Bay to Flesherton. In the mid-19th century, the river was used as a transportation route. The steep gradient, in some sections, provided a source of water power for mill operations. The Beaver Valley offers some of the most spectacular scenery to be found in Southern Ontario.
Fishing the Beaver
By way of fishways at the Thornbury and Clenedan Dams, sport fishing opportunities are good for rainbow and brown trout. Fly fishers are a common site along the river’s upper reaches.
