Geocache Description:


The cache is located in a natural reserve of over 700 acres located within 3 miles of downtown SLO. The reserve was acquired by the City of SLO to insure the long-term preservation of its rural and scenic natural setting. Find the cache then enjoy the rest of the reserve hiking up the hill. For more information check out: (visit link) Keep a weather eye out for mountain bikers as they can appear quite quickly. Trailhead and parking is at the circle at the west end of Madonna Road a block west of Los Osos Valley Road (N 35º15.272 W120º41.729 if you happen to have a GPS). Cache is a one foot long cylinder shaped container painted dark brown with a rather small 2 1/4” opening. The cache includes a logbook and pen, bungee cord, 16mb USB flash drive, toy fighter jet, blue plastic whistle, toy skeleton, 4 AA batteries, cats-eye marble and a monkeyhead.
