There is limited parking at the access road to Cordwood Landing,
but if the gate is open [summer only], there's a lot a bit further
up the hill. The access road is located on the east side of Landing
Road just north of Cedar Drive. Park at N40° 57.649' W73°
00.342'. There is an old iron and stone gate near the entrance
to this park, and I imagine there must be some story as to whose
property it was, and how it came to be a preserve, but I have been
unable to find any history of this place so far. If anyone is
familiar with it please email it to me as I'd lke to include it in
this cache's description. Thanks!
The caretaker of the park,
Hina [a fellow cacher!] has contacted me and asked that I
stress the importance of visitors not blocking the access road.
There is some limited parking at the roadside, or if the park gate
is open, and you opt to park in the larger, upper lot, please check
in with her. Thanks! Wayfarer II
