Geocache Description:

This is in Kimball County, NE. It is St. Peter’s Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church, built by Settlers of Little Denmark. You travel country roads in good shape for monument, but to get to church you must travel between fields.

Please note this is a two-part find. The listed coordinates will first take you to a monument put up in memory of this small prairie church, and it is under two miles from the actual location of church (it also gives driving instructions on finding the church but have fun using the geo-coordinates). The monument is at the North West corner of an intersection of two country roads and if the weeds are high in the burrow-pit beside the road, it may be hard to spot.

The actual coordinates to the church are: 41° 06.204' North and 103° 24.853' West.

You will be turning off the county roads and traveling between fields down the farmer's access path/trail. Please be careful to avoid any freshly plowed soil as it will be soft and deep and one's vehicle could easily become stuck. Of course, if the trail is wet, we all know the danger of driving a heavy vehicle through mud. On the bright side, there are no fences or gates to go through.

Warning, some visitors to this cache in have confirmed a local resident living there, please be mindful and watch where you step and listen for the rattle, facspro reported seeing six buttons rattling away. Remember anytime your out in the country, you too may just meet up with one of nature’s local residents.

This cache can be found up high and weighted down so it won’t blow away, and a little shielding around it. Thanks to StarBrand for helping with providing a new cache container, a 6 quart Lock-n-lock with some camo-covering. If tall you may be able to reach it, but most may have to window climb a little. There are some good Christian items in the cache (this is after all a church), and a few toys and NE pins. The church was made out of natural stone from the area. Please consider an appropriate exchange item for the cache.
