This cache will be impossible to do
if there is snow on the ground
This is an offset cache with the first part of the
cache giving you the location of the final prize.
A calculator WILL be
required!
There is no cache to find at the first set of co-ordinates, just
information. You will need to drive from the first location to the
second (approximately 2 miles).
Park in Simpson Ct in Wallingford at N41*27.276 W72*49.093.
This is the center of town, You'll find three nice restaurants
within falling distance so if you want a bite to eat before you
start your caching, this'd be the perfect time!
There are a couple of park benches facing each other at the
given coordinates. Sit down, take a rest, then work out the answers
to the following:
(a) When did Edward Cox retire as postmaster?
(b) When was the First Baptist Church Founded?
(c) When was Tessie Flis born?
(x) When did George Madden pass away?
(y) When were Chas and Nora Brooks married?
(z) The sum of the three numbers on the "Leiss - Sadler"
marriage date.
The second location is the entrance to Lufbery Park. The
co-ordinates are N41*27.510
W72*50.576.
Drive in and park at the end of the road. Now for the fun part.
The location of the actual cache can be derived by taking the
numbers you found at Simpson Ct and putting them into the following
equations:
N41* (((a+b+c) * 5)-548)/1000
W72* ((((x+y)*z) / 6) + 1263)/1000
There was heavy tree cover during the placement of the cache but
there are only a few spots that an ammo can could be hidden at this
location so it shouldn't be too difficult!
Once the cache has been found, a short walk will reward you with a
nice overlook of the town of Wallingford Just head North East from
the cache location for the view.
