The parking is nice, the terrain is easy, but please be sure-footed. Don't try to find 'Shoals if it's dark.
If the Black Warrior is up, you may have a more difficult time getting to this cache. The trail system is widely used, so try to be as discrete as possible when searching for "Black Warrior Shoals."Take the time to visit the park at the West end of the trail and read the historical information up by the old bridge abutment. The observation deck near the East end of the trail also deserves attention.
Update (05 Dec 2004): Many people have problems finding this cache, and they often comment that they searched while it was dark. The cache is well-hidden, but as the log shows, it has been found by folks with a wide variety of "founds." I've thought of changing the clue to be a little more descriptive, but have decided against it. If you'd like to know where it is, please email me and I'll let you know.
