Horsethief Falls Traditional Cache

A good reason to hike up to a pretty neat spot.
Located near Horsethief Falls, this cache is rated a 2.5 only because GPS coverage was pretty bad when I was up there. You'll probably need the photo to help you find it. The terrain rating is due to the steepness of the first .80 miles of the trail.To get there: From Hwy 24, go south on Hwy 67 9.7 miles and park in the parking area on the south end of the old tunnel. The trail is to your right. There will be cutoffs on the trail to cross a creek, however do not cross any water until you see the sign telling you that you're .5 miles from the falls. After that, you don't cross any water until you get to the falls.The container is a military first aid container. The only things in it are a logbook and couple of pencils. Feel free to add small items.

One person who has gone to look for this cache was unable to find it, and it sounds like that due to the poor reception I had on the day I was there, the co-ordinates may be off. As an additional hint: The cache site is below the falls. If your GPS is taking you to a location up past the falls, it is taking you to the wrong location. While you are below, but near the falls, look around for the same thing that is shown in the photo. Also, if anyone does find it before I get back up there, please record the co-ordinates you get, and I'll make a correction here.
