Hjortsberga 'Domarring' [judge-circle]
Lekebackens gravfält [gravefield]

There are 140 graves here at 'Lekebackens grafält' [gravefield], mostly heaps and round stonesettings.
On the crest of the hill is one of 'Närkes' biggest man-made mound of stones and a stone circle with 9 raised stones.
This gravefield is measured up but some form of archaeolog excavation have not been done yet, so no findings can be presented.
Lekebacken containes most graves from yonger ironage (400-1050 a.c.) During this time the dead was burned at bonfire.
Together with the burned bones it's common to find pottery and simple personal belonings as knives,
whetstone and combs, sometimes even juvelery and weapons.
The big heap (app. 20m. diameter) could be older then the gravefield it self. Heaps were made during the bronze-age.
The stone setting with the 9 raised stones is a type of grave that is related to the time of migration (400-550 a.c.)
The name 'Domarring' [stone circle is called 'judge-circle'] have appeared from folktradition from later timeperiod,
they belived then that the stone circles were old session of the district court.
Several of the 500.000 ancient remains in our country, is from the younger iron-age (400-1050 a.c.).
In the middle east of Sweden it is common that the remains is located near farms or villages.
During this period the agriculture districts is founded.
'Lekebacken' is the common grave-field of the iron-age-village. The ancient remains is protected by Swedish law.
