On the track to the Kverkfjöll on the F902, at about 30m from the road in some rocks.
When you drive to the Kverkfjöll hut on the last part of the F902 track, from the crossroad located at N 64°59.615, W 16°15.549 drive about 20km to the south (to the Kverkjöll hut) and when you're about 30m of the location stop your car on the right side and walk to the rocks, climb about 5m onto the rocks (take care it's very sharp!) and you'll get it!Once you found it you should go to the hut where nice wardens will welcome you to sleep in this wonderfull place for 1600 ISK for one night. From there you can go to the Vatnajökull glacier in 10 minutes with car and then hiking for 15 minutes!
Note: the area where the cache is located is now in a national natural park, so take care and do not leave traces and respect the nature.

You definitely need a 4 wheels car to go there as the track is very bumpy and there are also several (at least 2) fjord to go through. You can get information about roads status on the following website www.vegag.is.

Reviewer note: The owner of this cache wrote me: "Additionally we met the person who's hosting the Sigurdarskali hut, which is few kilometers away from our cache (in the region of the Kverkfjöll). He accepted to maintain the cache during our absence. We explained him the Geocaching philosophy and policy and we even let him a printout with some information.
So we now have someone which is able to maintain our cache when needed, we can contact him if a geocacher find out a problem and he can contact us if something's wrong."
