Winter Rating: This cache is NOT possible with any
ice or snow on the ground, don’t even try.
We look forward to interesting log entries & photos if you
wish, but please, don’t spoil any part of the puzzle by what you
say and don’t post photos of the actual clue items. At the start of
each part we list the coordinates for that part, but they are
optional and unnecessary, it’s much more fun to just follow our
written directions.
Time to get started … go to the listed cache coordinates … and then
…
PART ONE
Don’t ignore the faded “CIGAR” sign painted high up on this old
three-story building, on the corner of the block.
This new cache starts high on the old north side of this
building.
At coordinates look for old wooden numbers of the year it was
built.
Then go ahead and write the digits here:
(1a)___ (1b)___ (1c)___
(1d)___.
Upper two floors of this building once had an energy saving
business (it moved July 2005).
Behind blocks of these walls a geocacher was trapped during
weekdays.
Not north or south or west.
But of the remaining direction now walk straight.
To start the next step, walk toward the lake.
New coordinates require clues from here and other interesting
stopping points to follow.
Walk to small structure with big hooks near bathrooms by the
lake.
For many fishermen clean their “caches” here.
Next steps will take you along this beautiful lake.
PART TWO
N43 23.390 W087 51.981
Per DNR Code 20.01, what must remain on your fish?

Now head a little closer to the lake and then north to the big net
with the zebra pole.
PART THREE
N43 23.397 W087 51.917
I quote,
“Once there were (3a)_______or more, now there is (3b)________.”
Looking north from here you should see some giant round containers
that you’d never want to be looking inside of. West of those
containers, look for the very large painted flag.
PART FOUR
N43 23.528 W087 51.971
President Ronald Regan spoke here, with this flag as his back
drop.
This American Flag was dedicated in what year? (4a) _______
In memory of the deceased of what Post #? (4b)______
Now turn around and look for the big gun.
PART FIVE

that served our country in time of peace and war. Let’s remember
them in our thoughts and prayers.
How many MMs is this Howitzer? (5a)_____
Finish this number … D3762 – 17 (5b) _____ (3 digits)
Now follow the sidewalk south into the shadow of Port Washington’s
“sky scrapper”. You are looking for two friendly fish that squirt
water.
PART SIX

Lots of names from the past by these naughty fish.
Complete this man’s full name …. (6a)________ (6b)____. DYBDAHL
What year was this building Erected? (6c)________

You now have gathered all the words and numbers you need to solve
the “Port Puzzle” cache. However, you still have some homework to
do now. Why not sit on the bench right here, while you do some math
and figure it out.
PART EIGHT
Organize your clues for the next step, by completing the following
chart:
Caution: When doing the math below, watch out for minus (-) vs.
plus (+) or you might end up in the lake!
(6d) - (6c) - (7c) + (1a) + (1a) = (aaa) ___________
(1b) + (7b) + (3a) + (4b) + (5a) + (2b) + (5b) + (1d) = (bbb)
________
(4b) – (7b) + (1a) = (ccc) __________
(4a) – (7a) = _____ x 100 = ______ + (5a) = (ddd)
___________
(6f) less “ks” = ________ plus (6b) = (eee) _____________
(1a) + (1a) = (fff) _____
"e" + 2nd letter of (2d) + 1st letter of (2f) + "h" =
(ggg)__________
use (2c) but replace "o" with "a" = (kkk) _________
(1b) – (1a) = (mmm) ______
(1a) + (1b) = (ppp) ______
1st two letters of (2c) + "ke" = (rrr) ______
(1d) - (1a) = (sss) ______
(1a) + (1d) = (ttt) ______
PART NINE
Fill in the clues below, using your chart above, then find the
cache!
New Coordinates:
N43 (aaa)____ . (bbb)_______ W087 (ccc)____ . (ddd)_______
To Find the Cache:
(6a)_________ (eee)________ (fff)____ of (ggg)_______ sentence
in (kkk)________ (3b)________ of the puzzle. Then read them in
order.
Then, go up to the (sss)_____th big flat spot,
then go back down (ttt)______ little ones.
Then sit on the west side and (rrr)__________ around in the gravel
next to your seat (try to look like your resting or something, to
avoid the eyes of the (6e) ________ ).
Container is a 2” x 4” white plastic cylindrical container; which
is attached to a pipe with beaded chain (to keep animals from
stealing it).
Please take extra care to bury it well in the gravel when you're
done, so it doesn’t get uncovered easily.
*** If you think the container is not there ***
- Decode the hint to be confident your in the right place.
- If you still can't find it, a small animal may have pulled it
into a nearby underground "cave"; but no fear, you can still take
credit for this cache by
emailing me the answer to this: How many more "little ones"
are above you?
