TUNNEL OF LOVE (Herts) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: After 16-and-a-bit years of fairly faithful service I've decided to free up this area for someone else to hide something. Many thanks for all the logs & occasional photos & congratulations to all you finders. Sorry for the few DNFs. Take care, stay safe, lick nothing.

Geocache Description:

Set to celebrate my Love for a very special friend in a rather novel manner, this SMALL cache will take you on a dog-friendly (also suitable for pushchairs at a push?) 10 minute walk to an odd place I discovered while looking for locations for a video shoot - Long story, don't ask!

TUNNEL OF LOVE (Herts)
Angel relaxes close to the cache location
Everyone say "Ahhhhh!" I know, call me
Mr Soppy ("The name's Soppy. Simply Soppy")
but this cache is dedicated to the woman
I Love(d at the time)
Angel, this is for you! XXXX

While it might be possible to park very close to this cache, to do so would be stupid and dangerous so don't do it! Instead, park up Hall Park Gate which is reached from the main route through Berkhamsted. Aim for N51° 45.051 / W000° 32.865 and you won't go far wrong. From here use the footpaths provided to reach the cache. I set this as a micro cache (later updated to a small thanks to Geoff of Housefamily) on the spur of the moment, in pouring rain and in the dark (Love makes you do crazy things) and I think might make a rather interesting spot for a bit of night caching, wet or not! - If you continue down the hill from the cache location you might catch sight of an 'Orange Tree' on the hill in front of you, to the left. An interesting feature but there's no public access to it, sadly.

Apologies for the basic log in this small cache. A better one will follow when my printer is working again! Also, please bring your own pen.

Have fun & happy hunting!

Some other caches well worth a go in the area: Pit Stop Charity Cache or Rampant Rise - Gold Cache. Both by Dan & Pid and both in easy driving distance.

A small experiment - Please feel free to rate your visit to this cache out of ten in your log - or drop it an FP point?
