The cache can be found in fairly dense woodland to the west of the quite busy B1007 between Horndon on the Hill and Laindon. There are plenty of FREE places to park - the most convenient place is at N51 33.080 E000 25.105 or you can park at N51 33.157 E000 25.227. If you fancy making a day of it, park in the main Country Park parking area at N51 33.245 E000 25.468 from where a pleasant walk will take you to the cache site. Parking is free (unusually for a country park)and there are some beautiful walks to be had around the area as well as opportunities for picnics and the like.
The cache is a 5"X7"X2.5" (quite compact) tupperware container which originally had the following contents: Reflector Bear Winnie the Pooh cufflinks A pot of paper clips A thermometer/compass keyring Bar of travel soap A horse brooch A football maze game Union Jack sticker Binder reinforcement rings Pencil top 'thing' Also a pen, pencil, pencil sharpener and logbook are provided for you to log your visit.
GPS signals weren't great when we visited - our GPS receiver was giving an accuracy of about 25 feet.
PLEASE REPLACE THE LOGBOOK IN THE ZIPLOCK BAG AS THIS KEEPS IT DRY !!
