The cache is located near the South-Devon cliffs, giving great views in all directions.
I have always loved walking and fishing in this area, so was pleased to adopt it from Jack on 23/08/2004.
This cache has been placed to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Jack of Team Jack Bauer finding the love of his life during the Solar Eclipse of the 11th of august 1999. The cache is located at the beautifull cliffside at Bolberry Down, South Devon, where Jack and his love witnessed the magical event.To get to the parking at Bolberry Down take the A381 to Salcombe. In Malborough, just before the gas station, take a right into the street Upper Town (it is signposted Bolberry but poorly). After Upper Town continue on straight, following the sign to Bolberry. Then, take a right, again signposted Bolberry. In the town of Bolberry take a left signposted Bolberry Down. Continue on straight along the real Devon narrow lanes until you reach the parking at Bolberry Down. From the parking you can follow the South West Coast Path to the cache, it's about 1.2 km.A very nice alternative would be to walk the Coast Path from Salcombe to Hope Cove or make a roundtrip from Hope Cove.Warning: be carefull with the cliffs. THE CACHE IS LOCATED AT LEAST 10 METERS FROM THE CLIFFS EDGE.As the direct surroundings of the cache has some prickly bushes it is advisiable to wear long pants.
