I had heard that this park use to be a Boy Scout camp ground, but in speaking to the Grove City Park districts director, I found out that it was not. The Boy Scouts do camp here occasionally.

Take sometime to hike the nature trail that goes through this patch of woods. You may see the remnants of lean-toos in parts of these woods. I have learned that these are not from the Boy Scouts, but Grove Cities Park districts, environment group. They come out here and spent the night while learning about the environment and learn to build these lean-toos. I was told that the “Fryer Find” cache was found by this group and not knowing what it was, they took it home. The park district director assures me that if the group finds this one they will leave it where it is, now that they know what Geocaching is.
