A canal path walk from the village of Semington which takes you over the Semington Aqueduct. The walk is just under a mile round trip and takes approx 30 mins to complete. Easy terrain. Easy little cache. Nuff said.
The waterways have gained their latest landmark with the construction of a new aqueduct on the Kennet and Avon Canal.
The aqueduct carries the canal over the new Semington bypass, which opened on March 26th 2004. The builders say it is the first canal aqueduct to be built in the South-West for almost two centuries. Unusually, though the road is a single carriageway, the canal itself is a 'dual carriageway' - with two channels, each wide enough for a 14ft boat.
Almost 20,000 cars and lorries are expected to use the bypass each day, making a real difference to the people of Semington.
The cache itself is a tupperware container.
Happy hunting cachers and good luck with this, our 11th cache hidden.
